“I must be a mermaid, Rango. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living.”
― Anaïs Nin

Don’t we all strive for a life lived with meaning and purpose? I hope we do. As the famous hashtag #YOLO says you’ll only live once, we might as well make the most of this one life we have.

I hope we’re not afraid of our big dreams. Daunting and scary as it may seem to think different, to want something out of the box, we shouldn’t limit ourselves to the mundane activities society told us to do. Instead, let’s strive to take a step closer into making our dreams a reality. This is, after all, our one and only life.

I hope we believe in ourselves more. In that, we can make positive changes in this world we live in. Amidst all the chaos that is going on, I think more than ever, now is the time we must work harder in encouraging ourselves and others that there is still hope. And it lies, maybe not in the grandest of gestures, but most especially in the simplest acts of kindness. These acts can create ripples beyond us, and our time.

We are not here to stand on the shore and watch the ebb and flow of life. We are here to dive in and make huge waves. We are here to change the tide. So fear not the depths of where life can take you, and just enjoy the ride.
